Lookback: CADO SAF Registry Team at IATA Aviation Energy Forum

18 May 2026

During 12 to 14 May, the CADO SAF Registry team participated in the IATA AEF (Aviation Energy Forum). The AEF brought together 1,000+ industry stakeholders, including fuel producers, suppliers, airlines, and technical providers. The team had engaging discussions throughout the Forum, both at the CADO booth and in side meetings on the future of book and claim, accelerating SAF uptake, and how we can improve the Registry to better meet emerging market developments.

On 14 May, the CADO SAF Registry team conducted a workshop, focusing on the new enhancements to the system. The workshop provided an overview of the Registry and how it has evolved over the year. It also demonstrated how SAF suppliers and airlines alike can benefit from the Registry, with new features such as bulk registration and the various and flexible transactions that the Registry can facilitate. In addition, it highlighted the importance of robust oversight, with the Registry having an option to invite your auditor as well as sharing redemption information with state authorities.

We were delighted to engage with SAF leaders across the industry. We look forward to reconnecting with you all again.
